January was a whirlwind month, hence the very late updates. January was Rachel's month, she celebrated her 8th birthday, a day she has been counting down to for a very long time. She was not able to have a birthday party with all of her friends this year because we don't exactly have a home at this time. She was however able to bring treats to her class at school and her Aunt Miriam, Uncle Nick and cousin Alli were in town visiting with their foster baby Hayden and we celebrated as a family. She wanted to have her birthday dinner at Zio's restaurant and had to have a Hawaiian themed cake (which left me scrambling the day of her birthday to try and find one).

How fun! Hope you guys get into a house soon. We love Zio's...it was the setting of our first date.
