Merry Christmas

We spent our Christmas with Sam's family in Prescott, AZ. It was the first time in 4 years we had been able to all be together on Christmas and the first time ever that we were able to be in Prescott since Matt and Sam got married 71/2 years ago. Not only was Sam's immediate family able to be there but our grandparents were also able to make it.
We all had to travel home for Christmas, Jenn and Jack with their kids had the shortest trip from Phoenix. Lynnette had a few days of travel after a big storm came through Washington and delayed her plane until she finally just went home to try (and succeed) the next day. Tom drove out from Indiana a week ago and was able to stay in Albuquerque for a couple of days before finishing his trip to Prescott. While he was in town we were all able to join forces and put together the perfect gift for Dad. Tom had decided that he would frame his crew jersey that he wore in this year's Indy 500. After price shopping and seeing how much something like this costs Matt decided he could build it for cheaper, and we did. We each had a job and banged it out in a couple of days (and for me a very long night of sewing it in). None of us probably would have not done this (because as usual, it is always easier said than done) if it were not for a very special person to all of us, who deserved all of our efforts. For all he has done for each of us, it was the least we could do. Here is the final result:

As for the kids on Christmas, they were all pleased with what Santa has brought. Landon got the new Helmet Heroes, but it was broken...as you can see it didn't really stop him from loving it.

Carson loves riding his scooter at the skate park so we decided to let him try out the skateboard. Luckily, it came complete with helmet and pads.

Rachel got a new bedset, she asks for one all the time. Maybe not her idea of the perfect Christmas present, but she also got the play makeup she had been begging us for.

We hope that all of you were able to have a wonderful Christmas and everyone has safe travels. Happy Holidays and we will see you next year!
