As for Carson, poor kid...he has never really played t-ball before and only had a couple of practices before he had a game. The rule with this league is that your coach can pitch to you 3 times and if you don't hit any of those pitches then you use the tee. Carson is currently the only one who needs the tee (like I said, poor Carson, especially if you factor in the 3 & 4 yr. olds on his team), that is until yesterday when he had his first hit. We were so excited for him, it didn't make it out of the infield but it was a hit none the less. We took him out for ice cream to celebrate after the game.

Time for Sports
Well, this year we finally decided to sign the older kids up for sports. I let them each pick whatever they wanted to do Rachel chose soccer and Carson chose T-ball. We just put them in a beginner league to see if this was something they were really interested in or if it would just fade out. They have been playing for a couple of weeks now and are getting better (not hard to do since neither one has ever played a sport before). Rachel enjoys being goalie, mainly because she spends 95% of her time standing there, whereas if she is on the field she has to run. She does have a fear of the ball though and it sometimes complicates being goalie. When she is out of the goal she spends a lot of time on her bum and sheds tears almost every game. Matt is really working on the whole "no crying in sports" thing.
